Bardi Biguine Invites Rachel Meirs and Caio Sete Cordas
Rachel Meirs (USA, violin) and Quentin Bardi (France, banjo, mandolin) met in New Orleans, city of musical exchanges on the edge of the Caribbean. They share a passion for the instrumental folk music of the early days of the recording era, from the waltzes of Trinidad and Venezuela to the sounds of Cape-Verdian and Italian diaspora. Caio Sete Cordas (Brazil, 7 strings guitar, bandolim) is a well-established musician of Lisbon’s Brazilian’s music scene, but most importantly, a masterful accompanist on the seven-strings guitar. This concert will be the encounter of three different countries, and many more styles of music, an experimentation within tradition.
