Every year, millions of elderly spend their days and nights in nursing homes, where, for the vast majority of them, loneliness, sadness, and boredom are a constant. This is where we come in. How? By throwing a funky “Dancing with Grannies” party! On Wednesday, November 9, ESN Minho is having a multicultural music party at the Venerável Ordem Terceira de S. Domingos Nursing Home in Guimarães. Each participant is invited to select a few songs from their home country and send them to Gui (Guilherme Csv on Facebook), who will compile them into a playlist to the sound of which we'll all have a multicultural boogie! After about an hour of geriatric fun, we'll all be treated to a nice little snack, which includes cake... ;) During the snack we can all mingle and show off our incredible charm! After the snack, we'll all head back, with some cool stories to tell and feeling great about the joy we brought those people (and a BUNCH OF KARMA POINTS!) SCHEDULE: 1.50 pm – We all meet up at Campus of Azurém. Those from Braga can all meet up at the Uni bus stop in front of McDonalds for the 1.10 pm bus, DON'T BE LATE 2.30 pm – GRANNY PARTY LIKE IT'S 1999! 3.30 – Funky snack 4.30 – We all go back to our sexy lives 17:10 – Bus for those going back to Braga If anyone has any questions, don't hesitate to inbox Gui! Cada participante é convidado a selecionar algumas músicas do seu país natal e mandá-las ao Gui (Guilherme Csv no Facebook), que as compilará numa lista de música ao som da qual faremos um belo boogie multicultural! Ao fim de à volta de uma horita de diversão geriátrica, vão dar-nos um belo lanchinho com bolo... ;) , durante o qual vamos poder socializar com os velhotes e mostrar o nosso charme irresistível! Depois do lanche, voltamos todos para casa com umas histórias fixes para contar e a sentir-nos bem com a alegria que trouxemos a estas pessoas (e BUÉ DE PONTOS DE KARMA!)
