INAUGURAÇÃO / OPENING: sexta/friday, 20 Mar, 22:45 ATÉ / UNTIL 11 Abr/Apr (qui–sáb / thu–sat 16:00–20:00) CONVERSA COM O ARTISTA / TALK WITH THE ARTIST: domingo, 22 Março às 17:00 No dia 20 de Março, às 22h45, é inaugurada, no Sismógrafo, "É" , de Pedro Morais (Lisboa, 1944). Trata-se de uma exposição composta por três naturezas mortas com sementes cobertas de oiro sobre terra seca pintada de azul e três linhas de texto. Uma espécie de haiku que celebra o Equinócio da Primavera. Com este trabalho, o artista dá continuidade à sua pesquisa acerca do fazer e do ver, a qual se inscreve no entendimento da não separação entre a arte e vida. Do percurso de Pedro Morais pode destacar-se a sua permanência em Paris entre 1965 e 1977, após a qual regressa a Lisboa, onde irá desenvolver, de 1979 a 1994, na Escola António Arroio, uma das experiências pedagógicas artísticas mais relevantes do pós-revolução, o Atelier Livre AT.RE. Desde a década de 1980, tem vindo a expôr o seu trabalho sobretudo em institituições e espaços independentes, como a Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes, o Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga, o Boqueirão da Praia da Galé, o Centro de Arte Moderna (Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian),o Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Serralves, a Culturgest (Chiado 8) e o Edifício Avenida. // On the 20th of March, at 22.45, Sismógrafo opens "É" [Is] by Pedro Morais (Lisbon, 1944). This is an exhibition composed of three still lives with seeds covered in gold on dry earth painted blue and three lines of text. A kind of haiku celebrating the Spring Equinox. With this work, the artist continues his research on the doing and seeing, which falls within the understanding of not separating art and life. From Pedro Morais' journey we can highlight his stay in Paris between 1965 and 1977, after which he returned to Lisbon, where he developed, from 1979 to 1994, at the school António Arroio, one of the most important artistic teaching experiences of the post-revolution period, the Atelier Livre AT.RE. Since the 1980s, he has been exhibiting his work mainly in institutions and independent spaces, such as Sociedade Nacional de Belas Artes, Museu Nacional de Arte Antiga, Boqueirão da Praia da Galé, Centro de Arte Moderna (Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation), Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, Culturgest (Chiado 8) and Edifício Avenida.
