Julie Weisenberger, the California-based designer and founder of Cocoknits, will be visiting Retrosaria in November and we are delighted to host her workshop for the Cocoknits Method. This method for top-down and seamless knitting has many advantages for knitting and shaping cardigans, sweaters and vests, and has been hugely influential to many other knitwear designers, including Rosa Pomar.
Teacher: Julie Weisenberger (Cocoknits)
Date: THURSDAY 21 November 2024 (10am-1pm)
Objectives: In this workshop, you will cast on and knit top-down and seamlessly the yoke of a small practice cardigan (roughly the size for a one-year old baby) following the Cocoknits method, created by Julie Weisenberger. You’ll be guided by Julie through the basics of this technique and how to use the Cocoknits worksheet, a support material created to keep track of the knitting construction. After the class you will take the instructions with you to finish the lower half of the cardigan at home, in your own time. This workshop will give you the tools and knowledge you need to apply this method to your own future knitting projects.
