About professor Eleni Andreouli:
Her primary research interests lie in the social psychology of citizenship, immigration and identity in diverse societies. 

She also studies the social psychology of "common politics" by analizing the relationship between institutional arrangements about immigration (ex: naturalisation processes) and everyday ‘lay’ understandings and experiences of these issues. 

In times of Brexit and of Greece's repeated debt crises, which somtimes compromise the compatibility of national identities and european ones, professor Andreouli's lecture might come as particularly enlightening - particularly considering she was born in Greece and later on moved to Britain, where she completed her PhD and currently works, lecturing at Open University.
