Com a ameaça de dois dos espaços mais preciosos em Portugal, a costa atlântica do Algarve e do Alentejo, a última linha costeira da Europa em boas condições, e o santuário de Fátima, situado perto de uma das maiores reservas de água doce da Europa; é hora de agir! Sob a orientação de John Quigley, utilizaremos os nossos corpos para desenhar uma grande mensagem no chão que será filmada por drones. Connosco teremos activistas do ALA, Climáximo, Campanha Linha Vermelha, Plataforma Algarve Livre De Petróleo, Stop Petróleo Vila do Bispo, Tavira em Transição e outros grupos e activistas internacionais que irão participar no encontro “Defend the Sacred”, em Tamera. Este será um dia de força e alegria, unindo a arte, o ritual e a acção política. Demonstraremos soluções tecnológicas, para mostrar que existem alternativas funcionais. Join us and 1000 other people, to take part in an aerial art action on the beach to stop fossil fuel exploration in Portugal, and support a just transition to a regenerative economy and society. With 2 of Portugal’s most sacred sites threatened, the Atlantic coast of the Algarve and Alentejo, Europe’s last unspoiled coastline, and the Catholic sanctuary of Fátima, near one of Europe’s biggest freshwater reservoirs, now is the time for action! Led by John Quigley, we’ll use our bodies to draw a huge message on the ground, filmed by drone cameras. You’ll be alongside activists from ALA, Climáximo, Campanha Linha Vermelha, Plataforma Algarve Livre De Petróleo, Stop Petróleo Vila do Bispo, Tavira em Transição and other groups as well as global activists attending the second international gathering "Defend the Sacred” in Tamera. It will be a powerful and joyful day fusing art, ritual and political action. We’ll showcase our technologies from Tamera to show there are working alternatives. Hoping as many other people and organisations researching similar issues, working on regenerative settlements and society, will join to connect and cross-pollinate ideas.
