Workshop with Isabel Lewis – ‘On The Wolf’s Trail’ Session 4 22 March 18h-21h
‘O.C.E.A.N.I.C.A.’ is an invitation to attune to our continuity with the Ocean to transform and articulate a different relation. Lewis asks participants to be careful with the language pertaining to the Ocean, be aware of the questions it poses and open to unexpected findings.
In this piece Lewis takes inspiration from Augusto Boal’s ‘Theatre of the Oppressed’, a set of dramatic techniques which aim to bring to light systemic exploitation and oppression, in order to discover ocean life inside us. She creates a situational choreography where the boundaries between performance and spectatorship fade, and the very real living conditions and labor struggles across society materialize together, and find an interlocutor in the Ocean.

Workshop com Isabel Lewis – ‘No Rastro do Lobo - Sessão 4’ 22 Março 18h-21h
‘O.C.E.A.N.I.C.A.’ é um convite à sintonia com a nossa continuidade com o Oceano para transformar e articular uma relação diferente. Lewis pede aos participantes que tenham cuidado com a linguagem relativa ao Oceano, estejam atentos às questões que ele coloca e estejam abertos a descobertas inesperadas.
Nesta peça, Lewis inspira-se no “Teatro do Oprimido” de Augusto Boal, um conjunto de técnicas dramáticas que visam trazer à luz a exploração e a opressão sistémica, a fim de descobrir a vida oceânica dentro de nós. Ela cria uma coreografia situacional onde as fronteiras entre performance e espectador se desvanecem, e as condições de vida e lutas laborais reais em toda a sociedade se materializam juntas e encontram um interlocutor no Oceano.
