É com grande honra que vos convidamos para a inauguração da exposição "Nostalgia" de Carlos Malafaya, no dia 6 de julho, às 16h00, no PAZ – Performance Arts Zone.
NOSTALGIA
Esta exposição é uma homenagem póstuma ao talentoso artista Carlos Malafaya (Porto, 5/11/61 - 11/11/23), cuja obra se encontra tanto em Portugal como no estrangeiro. Inteligente e com um sentido de humor apurado, Malafaya não conseguia libertar-se da saudade originada pelas lembranças do passado, nem do sentimento melancólico produzido pela ausência de familiares e amigos.
Carlos Malafaya estava a preparar uma exposição de inéditos no nosso espaço quando a vida lhe pregou uma partida. Infelizmente, não teve a alegria de ver expostos estes seus desenhos e pinturas, que estava a seleccionar com esperança e entusiasmo. Esta exposição é uma celebração da sua vida e talento, e uma oportunidade para apreciar parte da sua imensa obra.
Como ele próprio dizia: "A quem é rei nunca lhe falta a majestade."

It is with great honour that we invite you to the inauguration of the exhibition "Nostalgia" by Carlos Malafaya, on the 6th of July, at 4:00 PM, at PAZ – Performance Arts Zone.
NOSTALGIA
This exhibition is a posthumous tribute to the talented artist Carlos Malafaya (Porto, 05/11/61 - 11/11/23), whose work can be found both in Portugal and abroad. Intelligent and with a keen sense of humour, Malafaya could never free himself from the longing caused by past memories, nor the melancholic feeling produced by the absence of family and friends.
Carlos Malafaya was preparing an exhibition of unpublished works in our space when life played a trick on him. Unfortunately, he did not have the joy of seeing these drawings and paintings, which he was selecting with hope and enthusiasm, displayed. This exhibition is a celebration of his life and talent, and an opportunity to appreciate part of his immense body of work.
As he himself used to say: "A quem é rei nunca lhe falta a majestade" ("To him who is king, majesty is never lacking").
