SAFARI BADOCA TRIP
We are really happy to present this amazing trip to the Badoca Safari Park and Lagoon of St André!
So, in the Badoca Safari Park prepare yourselves to explore the extensive plains of Africa …. ok, it’s not Africa but it’s almost the same! We are going to feed animals (don’t worry we don’t have wild lions) and have an incredible experience in the centre of southern Portugal!
Badoca Safari Park is a natural park where you can experience what it's like to do a Safari.. with wild animals all over the park, some of them in environments pretty similar to their real home in the wild! This natural park serves also to protect some species that are in danger of extincton.
PROGRAM
- Safari: An expedition by truck to observe and photograph wildlife along the Badoca park.
- Lemurs feeding & interaction: These small primates are from the Island of Madagascar and are now considered an endangered species. Accompanied by an attendant, you will be actively involved in a feeding and interaction session. The aim is to provide visitors with a unique experience whilst encouraging contact with animals in danger of extinction and raising awareness of the importance of the conservation of these species and their habitats.
- Birds of prey Show: The birds of prey of Badoca Safari Park are the stars of these free shows hosted by a team of Falconers.
The show presents a centuries-old tradition: Falconry – the technique and philosophy of hunting with birds of prey. Visitors can learn about the birds that are traditionally used by watching the simulation of hunting scenes.
- African village: This village integrates living areas, giant wooden animals, African swings and a footpath observation of various domestic and wild animals.
- Raft experience: You will be able to go through the artificial route of water created in Badoca Park with a flat buoyant structure of ruber and other materials.
- Visit to Lagoon of St. André
Located in the municipality of Santiago do Cacém, the Santo André Lagoon is one of the most beautiful places nature has to offer. The extensive body of water, lined with golden sand dunes and a rich and diverse fauna, makes this a very pleasant place.
