Em maio, apresentamos cinema chileno através de uma parceria com o Festival de Cinema Feminino FemCine.
Esta é mais uma parceria que estabelecemos com festivais com os quais partilhamos os mesmos objetivos. FEMCINE, o Festival de Cinema Feminino de Santiago (https://femcine.cl/), é o primeiro e único festival de cinema chileno dedicado a celebrar, divulgar e homenagear filmes feitos por, para ou sobre mulheres.
O festival foi lançado em 2010 por um grupo de mulheres ligadas ao mundo audiovisual chileno, que acreditam que o cinema é uma poderosa ferramenta de reflexão e desenvolvimento social.
O objetivo do FEMCINE sempre foi destacar o trabalho de cineastas mulheres e mostrar e valorizar as representações cinematográficas (feitas por homens ou mulheres) sobre temas comuns numa sociedade como a que vivem no Chile, onde apesar do desenvolvimento tecnológico e económico, ainda existem muitas exemplos de desigualdade de género. Nesta sessão, o público poderá conhecer o festival e o cinema chileno.

Sinopse A prisão da rua Canadá 5351, em San Joaquín, é a principal testemunha dos horrores e torturas cometidos no seu interior desde 1973. É através da estrutura deste lugar e dos testemunhos de pessoas que foram e continuam a ser torturadas que se cria uma única voz, a voz daquele recinto, a fim de evidenciar alguns dos martírios que presenciou, bem como a analogia de um espaço e sociedade danificados.

In May, we present Chilean cinema through a partnership with the Women Film Festival FemCine. This is another partnership that we have established with festivals with which we share the same goals.
FEMCINE, the International Women Film Festival de Santiago (https://femcine.cl/), is the first and only Chilean film festival dedicated to celebrating, promoting and honoring films directed by, for or about women. The festival was launched in 2010 by a group of women linked to the Chilean audiovisual world, who believe that cinema is a powerful tool for reflection and social development.
The aim of FEMCINE has always been to highlight the work of women filmmakers, to show and value cinematographic representations (made by men or women) on common themes in a society like ours, where despite technological and economic development, there are still many examples of inequality. of gender.
In this session, the public will be able to get to know the festival and Chilean cinema.
